This Privacy Policy explains how SHOP VISION PTY LTD trading as Dtex Digital Data Collection (ABN 66 628 346 681) (“Dtex”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information through our websites, mobile applications, portals, image capture tools, reporting systems and related services.
1. What Dtex does
Dtex is a business-to-business retail image capture and data processing platform. Our systems are designed to collect retail audit information, not to harvest personal information.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the service being used, we may collect:
- Work account details, such as name, business email address, organisation and user role.
- Store, site, visit, task and project information entered into our applications.
- Retail images captured through our applications, including shelf, display, product, price ticket and label images.
- Image metadata, such as store, visit, user/operator, time, device or app version, upload status and workflow status.
- Retail data extracted from images, including product, brand, price, promotion, range and label information.
- Technical diagnostics, such as app version, device type, crash logs, upload status and system events.
3. Email addresses and account access
Email addresses are used only for account setup, login and access control, service administration, support and essential service communication. We do not use app user email addresses for unrelated marketing or data harvesting.
4. Images and retail audit data
Captured images are used for retail audit, processing, validation, reporting and service delivery. Users should avoid intentionally capturing people, private documents or unrelated personal information.
If incidental personal information appears in an image, it is not the purpose of the collection and should not be used for identification, profiling or unrelated purposes.
5. Image retention
Captured images are retained for 12 months unless otherwise agreed with the client or required for operational, legal or contractual reasons. After the retention period, images may be deleted or archived according to the relevant project and system requirements.
6. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate and support our applications, portals and services.
- Process captured images and convert them into structured retail data.
- Support reporting, dashboards, validation workflows and client deliverables.
- Monitor system performance, investigate errors and improve reliability.
- Manage account access, user support and service communication.
- Protect our systems, users, clients and data from misuse or unauthorised access.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell data. We do not supply captured images or client data to unrelated third parties. Client and project data remains controlled by the relevant client or project arrangement.
We may use secure infrastructure, cloud hosting, diagnostics and operational providers to run and support the service. This is not the sale or commercial supply of client data to unrelated third parties.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but we aim to apply practical security controls appropriate to the nature of the data and services.
9. Access, correction and deletion
Users or clients may contact Dtex to request access to, correction of or deletion of information, subject to operational, legal and contractual requirements. We may need to verify the request before taking action.
10. International processing
Some systems or infrastructure providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect the information appropriately.
